Terrence E. " Tenny " Nolan, 74, a 45 year resident of Stoughton, formerly of Marion, MA passed away at home after a brief illness on Monday March 18, 2013. He leaves behind his beloved wife of over 48 years Rosemary L. ( Mello ) Nolan and his 4 loving children, Kathryn A. Nolan and her husband Vincent Calenzo of Stratford, CT, John H. Nolan of Stoughton, Ryan P. Nolan of Falmouth and Kyle J. Nolan also of Stoughton. Other survivors include his brother John H. Nolan of Ballwin, MO, his 4 grandchildren, Amber Rose Nolan, Vaughn Joseph Monson, Alea Joi Monson, James Nolan Calenzo and his many friends.He was also a father to the late Mary Jo Nolan who passed away in 2006 and a brother to the late James P. Nolan.
Born October 19, 1938 in New Bedford, Massachusetts Terrence was a son of the late John H. and Theresa M. (Sullivan) Nolan. He was a graduate of Holy Family High School in New Bedford.
After honorably serving his country as a Radioman with the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962, Petty Officer Nolan returned home and graduated from Boston College where he earned his B.S. Degree. Mr. Nolan was employed by the United States Department Of Defense as a Contract Specialist for over 44 years.
He was a member of St. James Parish in Stoughton. As a friend of Bill W. for over 35 years, he will be greatly missed by the people whose lives he so lovingly touched.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday March 24, 2013 from 4 – 8 PM in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton.
His Funeral will be held on Monday March 25, 2013 at 9AM from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of his soul at 10 AM in St. James Church, 560 Page Steet, Stoughton. The Rev. John E. Kelly, officiating.
Burial with military honors will take place on Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 11 AM in the Massachusetts Veteran’s National Cemetery, Bourne.NOTE: FUNERAL PROCESSION WILL BE LEAVING FROM THE FUNERAL HOME ON TUESDAY MORNING AT 9:30 AM ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
