Manchester– Simone R. Proulx, 80, died March 17, 2013 at Catholic Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester, NH on July 6, 1932 the daughter of Henri and Felexine (Labbee) Boufford and had been a lifelong resident of this community.
She attended local schools and graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed by the Auburn School District as a bus driver. She was a Eucharistic Minister and parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in Auburn.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Odilon Proulx and a brother Adrien Boufford.
Members of her family include one son; George Proulx and his wife Diane of Auburn, three daughters; Claudette Gurley and her husband Robert of Goffstown, Barbara Ahern and her husband John of Raymond, Janice Johnson and her husband Steve of Goffstown, a foster daughter Donna Glennon of Manchester, 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters; Irene Robert of Dagsboro, DE., and Lucille Therrien of Manchester.
There are no calling hours.
A Memorial mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church, Auburn.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations my be made to the Tribute Program, St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 360 Route 101, Suite 5A, Bedford, NH 03110.
