Bonnie Kirkland, age 69, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Kirkland was born on April 6, 1943, in Douglas, GA to the late Allen Vickers, Jr. and Juanita Roberson Vickers.
Survivors include: her daughters, Cecile Brigmond, Bonita Willis, and Kellie Peterson, all of Douglas, GA, sister, Peggy (Carl) Slocumb, of Valdosta, GA, brother, Steve (Marlene) Vickers, of Douglas, GA, five grandchildren, Megan Spivey, Leia Adams, Lee Buchanan, Blake Peterson, and Peris May, and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Kirkland.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 2 :00 p.m. at Harrell Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Interment followed at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
