Charlotte Todd Parker, 98, died peacefully March 16, 2013 at home with her husband by her side. Born September 11, 1914 in Panola County to the late Robert Ernest and Lalla Chapman Todd, she graduated from the University of MS with a degree in education and taught and coached girls basketball for a short time at Campground School. She married Paul Lincoln Parker and settled in Water Valley, MS where she managed her husband's store during his military tour of duty. They had one daughter, Nancy, and Mrs. Parker became a homemaker. She was a charming southern lady and was loved by the community. Mrs. Parker was a member of First Baptist Church of Water Valley.
Services are planned for Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church in Water Valley with Dr. Randy Bain officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Paul L. Parker of Water Valley, MS; 2 grandsons, John Parker Turnipseed of Chicago, IL and Harris Todd Turnipseed of McCool, MS; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her only daughter, Nancy Parker Turnipseed.
