Ernest V. Therrien, age 75, of Lynn died March 9 at the Life Care Center of the North Shore after a brief illness. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Philip J. And Irene M. (Gagne) Therrien and the husband of the late Jean H. (Wasilewski) Therrien.
Ernie was an outstanding All-Star pitcher for the St. Jean’s Baseball Team and also a starting linesman for the Black Knights, a Lynn semi-pro football team. He was an avid environmentalist and fisherman, often giving advice to many who saw him.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Before his retirement, he was employed at Eastern Bank for many years.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Dr. William and his wife Carol Wasilewski of Reading. He was the father of the late Steven Therrien and brother of the late Phlip J. Jr. and Francis J. Therrien.
