Arthur W. Janicki age 80 of Duxbury, died unexpectedly on Friday March 15, 2013 at the Newfield House in Plymouth. He was the loving husband of the late Lorraine F. (Sheehan) Janicki. Arthur was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina a son of the late Stanley and Bertha Janicki. He enlisted in the US Coast Guard and met his future wife Lorraine while stationed in Marshfield. They had lived for many years in Marshfield before residing in Duxbury for 35 years. For the past seven years Arthur had lived at Newfield House in Plymouth.
Arthur was the owner of NAV-COM Services in Duxbury, a marine electronics company. He was a member of the American Legion Post 223 in Duxbury. Arthur loved spending time on the ocean, playing pool and working around his yard. But most importantly, his true joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Arthur is survived by his children Sharon Lelito of Wendell, Mass; Kevin Joyce of Plymouth, Lynne Giannino of Carver and Jay Joyce of Marshfield. He leaves six grandchildren Dawn Rose, Eric Lee, Keith, Jimmy, Gavin and Colin Joyce and four great grandchildren A.J., Dylan, Brooke and Cole. He was the brother of Isabelle Bastues of Garden Grove, CA, Josephine Rusher of Wilmington, NC and the late Bo Janicki. He also leaves a nephew Alan Rusher and a niece Jackie Dean.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Wednesday 10 am –noon with a Funeral Service at noon. Burial to follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
