Thelma A. (Barry) Nelson, 86, of Medway died March 14 in Milford Regional Medical Center; she was the wife of the late Walter Nelson who died in 1994.
Born in Medway, September 9, 1926, the daughter of the late Perley and Emma (Roberts) Barry, Mrs. Nelson was a lifelong Medway resident.
Mrs. Nelson was a graduate of Medway High School and attended Framingham Union Nursing School.
A homemaker, Mrs. Nelson was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She enjoyed crocheting, word search games and had been a member of the Western Horseman’s Association.
Thelma was a member of the Victory Assembly of God Church in Sharon.
She is survived by her children, Linda Nelson of Poland, Maine, Dennis Nelson and his wife Nancy of Wrentham, Roberta Leavitt and her husband John of Warner, New Hampshire, Terese Nelson of Medway and Beth Hackenson of Blackstone.
She was the mother of the late Kris Page.
She was the sister of the late Russell Barry, Henrietta Weaver, Carl and Lewis Barry.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20 in Victory Assembly of God Church, 67 High Plain Street in Sharon at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Medway.
