Obituary

NATICK: Janet A. (McHale) Petrowicz, age 57, of Natick, a former resident of Franklin, died on Thursday evening, March 14, 2013, at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an arduous but well fought battle with cancer.

Born in Framingham on September 29, 1955, she was a daughter of the late James F. and Anne V. (Bowen) McHale. She was raised and educated in Franklin and attended Bryant University. Janet was employed with Kmart in Milford during the 70's & early 80's. She later moved to Michigan as store manager for Highland Superstores. Soon after, when Best Buy was really starting to grow she joined their management team and achieved multiple accolades in many levels of management including Store Manager, Regional Trainer, and District Manager.

Janet had spent a number of years continuing her career in Pennsylvania for Best Buy and Raymour & Flanagan. Due to her illness, Janet returned home to Natick where she lived with her brother, sister-in-law, and much loved young niece. When her cancer was in remission she began a happy period working at Sovereign Bank as a branch manager. She had just entered Mary Ann Morse this week. Janet is remembered for her steadfast work ethic, positive attitude and her love of vacations shared with family and friends. She had recently been working with fellow high school alumni, planning and looking forward to the 40th reunion of the Franklin High School Class of 1973.

She is survived by a sister, Dianne M. Goodnow of Rhode Island; her brother, Kevin J. McHale and his wife Annemarie of Natick; her niece, Bridget Rose McHale; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Her funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Tuesday, Mar. 19th at 9:00a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, at 10:00a.m.. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery.
