Archie Taylor
November 26, 1920- March 14, 2013

Archie Taylor, 92, of Anderson, died March 14, 2013 at Countryside Manor in Anderson. He was born on November 26, 1920 in Willow Grove, Tennessee the son of Joe Steven and Emma (Maxfield) Taylor.
He was an Anderson resident since 1951 moving here from Tennessee. He was employed by Delco Remy in Anderson for 27 years, retiring in 1984. He served in the US Army 1942-1946. He attended the East 38th Street Freewill Baptist Church.


Survivors include 5 children: Patsy (James) Gibson of Pendleton, Joyce (Randy) Weidner of Ft. Myers, Florida, Carol Stern and Roger Faircloth of Colorado, Dannie S. (Debbie) Taylor of Fairmount and Linda R. (Daniel) Eastman of Anderson. 9 Grandchildren, Michael Gibson, Brian Gibson, Benjamin Gibson, Dax Harmon, Shawn Eastman, Kristina Weidner Jara, Mary Gibson Adams, Brandy Eastman and Angela McConnell and 12 Great Grandchildren his sister Florence Wilson of Fairfax, OH and several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Barbara Caldwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Granton Taylor and J.T. Taylor and 4 sisters, Magdeline Ferilia, Inez Taylor, Leah Taylor,and Ruby Winningham and granddaughter, Amanda Beth Gibson.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon until 2 PM.
