Frank P. Toland

LOWELL - Frank P. Toland Jr., a resident of the city for more than three decades, diedSaturday, July 24, at a local hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Phyllis (Scott)Toland, with whom he had celebrated a 42nd wedding anniversary this past March 11th.
He was born in Lowell, the son of Frank P. and Janie(Speight) Toland. He spent his early years inSt. John, New Brunswick, Canada. He returned to Tewksbury where he graduated TewksburyHigh School, and later Lowell Technological Institute, now U-Lowell.
In his earier work career, he was a manager at R.E.A. Express in Lawrence. He later worked atG.T.E. in Waltham, and retired from General Latex and Chemical in Billerica.
He held membership in the Massachusetts Bulldog Club, and enjoyed model railroading.
Besides his wife, he leaves many cousins in the Boston, Maine, and St. John, New Brunswickareas.
At his request all funeral arrangements were private.
