Obituary

Rita Sophie Grzybinski, 80, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2013 in Seacoast Nursing Home in Gloucester. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Grzybinski.
Born in Chelsea on April 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie Kozlowski. Rita was the youngest of eight children. She settled in Beverly in 1959 and raised seven children who she proudly referred to as "the Super Seven". Rita retired to Arizona with her husband in early 1990's where they enjoyed the warm climate and quiet household. She was a devout catholic and member of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Beverly. Rita was a gentle soul who put her family and faith above all else.
Rita is survived by her children, Patricia Gordon and her husband Paul of Gloucester, Paul Grzybinski and his wife Cathy of Amesbury, Charles Grzybinski and his wife Cynthia of Key West, Robert Grzybinski and his wife Betty of Gloucester, Anne LaPointe and her husband Richard of Templeton, Elizabeth Ferris and her husband Donald of Rockledge, FL and Matthew Grzybinski and his wife Maria of Peabody, her grandchildren, Lyndsi and Eric, Jackson, Amy, Allison and Adam, Megan and Jonathan and Cassandra, great grandchildren, Cullen and Grace, and her sister, Clara Charron and her husband Andrew of Attleboro. She was predeceased by her grandson Michael and siblings, Helen Lasota and her husband Walter, Regina Kantarowkski and her husband Stanley, Veronica McGarry, Theodore Kozlowski and his wife Josephine, Stephen Kozlowski and his wife Alice and Sr. Mary Fausta.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, March 18, 2013 in St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St., Beverly. Burial is private. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5-8pm at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Rita’s name to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA, 02472.
