DUDLEY – Carol-Ann “Kiwi” (Alarie) Adams, 61, of Dudley, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her husband of 33 years, Wesley W. Adams, died in 2010.
She leaves a son, Wilfred Bond and his wife Betty Jean of Westborough; a daughter, Samantha-Ann Grout of Southbridge; 8 grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jared, triplets Dominick, Dereck and Dwayne, Amy, David and Ryan; 3 great-grandsons, Dennis, Memphis and Dawson; and many cousins.
She was born in Worcester, the only daughter of Alfred J. and Mary R. (Borus) Alarie and was a lifelong resident of Dudley. She graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster, and then earned a Bachelor of Psychology Degree as well as a Master of Psychology Degree, both “summa cum laude” from Nichols College.
Mrs. Adams was a licensed social worker for the Commonwealth of Mass. Rehab Center in Sturbridge for over 30 years, retiring in 2010.
She was a founding member of the Community Cat Connection in Webster. She enjoyed cats, dogs and birds. She loved crafts, especially beads, miniature doll houses and more recently miniature orchids. She was a Queen Mother of the Dudley Red Hat Society for several years.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rose Monahan Hospice for their tender and loving care for Carol-Ann during her time there.
