HUNTSINGER - Eugene Lee "Geno" Huntsinger, Sr., 79, passed away Thursday morning, March, 14, 2013 at his Yulee, FL residence.
Mr. Huntsinger was born February 17, 1934 in Gastonia, NC and moved to Yulee 20 years ago from Pawleys Island, SC.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was an internationally known metal sculptor who's art is also displayed around the local Fernandina Beach area. Mr. Huntsinger was a lover of animals and art and was also known for his wild and wacky sense of humor.
He was predeceased by a son, Edward Huntsinger. Survivors include a son, Eugene Lee Huntsinger, Jr.; a sister, Dorothy; and a granddaughter, Virginia Lee Huntsinger.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
