Maureen Pearl Peterson, age 83, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Shady Acres Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Peterson was born on November 24, 1929, in Denton, GA to the late Joe Milton Mullis and Ruth Hand Mullis.
Survivors include: her husband, Arthur “Gene” Eugene Peterson, of Douglas, GA, two sons, Joey (Susan) Webster, of Broxton, GA and Mike (Gail) Peterson, of Lafayette, GA, one daughter, Linda (Kenny) Price, of Valdosta, GA, three sisters, Myrtlene Whitworth, of Douglas, GA, Marion Buckingham, of Rochester. NY, and JoAnne Mayher, of Albany, GA, one brother, Carroll Mullis, of Andalusia, AL, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son, Danny Webster and a brother, Milton Mullis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Chip Woodruff, Rev. Robert Wiggley, and Rev. Mike Peterson officiating. Interment followed at Central Baptist Church Cemetery.
