Obituary

Harrington, William, 85, passed away peacefully in Plymouth on March 10. Husband of the late Rosemarie (Comeau) Harrington for 56 years. He leaves their children Robin Harrington and her husband James Garfield of Ojo Feliz, NM, Faith Harrington and fiancé Peter Lamb of Kittery Point, ME, Alane and her husband Peter Wallis of Concord, MA, Mary and her husband David Morin of Norwell, MA, Angela Harrington of Manomet, MA, and William J. Harrington, Jr. of New York, NY. His son Charles F.J. Harrington II, predeceased him. He also leaves his grandchildren Seth P. Harrington, Laura H. Harrington, Anna W. Yates, Heather K. Martin, Currin S. Wallis, Lili C. Wallis, Charlotte W. Wallis, Derek Morin, Michael Morin, Carli Morin and Rey Carlos DaSilva, and a brother John Harrington of CA.
William was born in Cambridge, MA on December 6, 1927 and attended Watertown schools. He graduated from Dartmouth College and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Bill was a commercial lobster fisherman, and a self-employed independent insurance agent. He was involved in investing and real estate development. He enjoyed gardening and, with his beloved wife, tended many large vegetable and flower gardens at his longtime home in Manomet. He loved to travel and had visited much of the world, often inviting his family to join him on these adventures. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Parish in Manomet.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Parish on Saturday March 23 at 11:00 AM.. There are no visiting hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter, P.O. Box 845945, Boston, MA 02284-5945
