Katherine B. Walmsley, 53, of Hyannis died March 12, 2013 unexpectedly at Cape Cod Hospital.
Born in Jacksonville, NC, the daughter of Shirley A. Smith of Dartmouth and the late Richard A. Walmsley, she was raised in Attleboro and lived in Hyannis for the last 23 years.
She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis.
Kate enjoyed painting art, nature and the outdoors.
Survivors include her mother; 2 sons, Andrew Smith and John Cadet, both of Hyannis; 3 daughters, Michelle Gibb of Norwich, CT, Katherine Fields of Centerville and Mary Alice Smith of Bourne; 4 brothers, John Walmsley of Boise, ID, Jeffrey Walmsley of Attleboro, Richard Walmsley of Swansea and Ross Walmsley of Hyannis; 2 sisters, Alice Walmsley of Hyannis and Jennifer Walmsley of Assonet; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16th at 12 Noon in St. Lawrence Church.
