William Perry Keys, Sr.
Sept. 23, 1923 - March 12, 2013

William Perry Keys, Sr. 89 of Chesterfield, joined his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (Couch) Keys.

William was born in Hoopeston, Illinois September 23, 1923 to Mitchell and Cora E. (Moore) Keys.

He graduated from Perrysville High School in 1941.

He served as a Private in the US Army from March of 1943 to February 1946 during WW II.

He was a Journeyman electrician for Rogers Electric and Amick Electric for 40 years before retiring in 1985.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 77 for 50 + years; Eagles Aerie # 127, 47 years and the American Legion for 40 + years; IBEW Local 481 for 65 years.

Survivors three children William P. (Cathy) Keys, Jr. of West Lafayette, IN; Nancy Jane (Richard) Corwin of Anderson and Joyce Elaine (Clyde) Dame of LaFontaine, IN; sister, Judith Ann Conklin of Yorktown, IN; seven grandchildren; William P. (Kelley) Keys, III of Carmel; Stephen Mitchell (Brooke) Keys of Lafayette, IN; Darcy Allen of Lafayette; and Dustin (Jody) Allen of Indianapolis and Jennifer Lynn Corwin of Anderson; Kathy Bastin and Evelyn Bazan and several nieces and nephews and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Couch) Keys, his parents, sister Naomi Symmes and a granddaughter Cynthia Marie Corwin.

A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Bronnenberg Cemetery with Brad Storm officiating.
