On Tuesday March 12, 2013, Antonio Alonzo, 93, after a valiant battle with severe anemia, joined the rest of his deceased family, his parents, sister Teresa, brothers Rocco, Guido, James, Florrie and Larry, in peace. He was a Naval Veteran of World War II, having seen action in Africa, Asia and the Tropics, where he held the rank of 1st Class Petty Officer. He returned to the area and worked as a welder at James River Corp. until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Rena (Heath) Alonzo; his daughter Bianca Scott and husband Russell; granddaughter Tia Trubia and husband Joe; brother Dominic Alonzo and family; nieces and nephews. He was devoted to his family. “If love alone could have kept you with us, you never would have gone”.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 23, 2013 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the Lary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday March 23 from 10-11 AM, prior to the service.
