Obituary

Leo Odilon Gosselin, 80, of Londonderry, passed Monday March 11, 2013 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a lengthy illness. He was born June 1, 1932 in Manchester and was a son of the late Odilon and Yvonne (Durette) Gosselin. Leo was raised and educated in Manchester prior to moving to Litchfield in 1950. He relocated to Nashua in 1965, and had been a resident of Londonderry since 1973.
Leo was a local businessman, having operated several businesses in the area including, Gosselin’s Poultry Farm on Litchfield, Nashua Modern Cleaning Service and Star Wash Mobile Truck cleaning. He also owned commercial property in the Nashua area. Leo was a longtime communicant and usher at St. Jude Parish of Londonderry, a charter member of St. Jude Council 6949 Knights of Columbus of Londonderry and Council 5260 of Manchester; he was also a longtime Boy Scout coordinator with the Daniel Webster Council, BSA. Leo enjoyed embroidery, and was very dedicated to the church and to helping others.
Members of the family include his wife of 47 years, Constance (Ivon) Gosselin of Londonderry, a sister Priscilla Lavoie, of Merrimack, two brothers, George Gosselin, of Francestown and Jean Gosselin and his wife Louise of Goffstown, a god child, Nichols Gosselin of Goffstown, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his stepmother, Claire (Durette) Gosselin
Calling hours were held on Sunday March 17, 2013 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday March 18 at 10am at St. Jude Parish 435 Mammoth Rd. Londonderry, and burial will conclude services at 2pm Monday at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery of Nashua.
