Bernard “Danny” Hamm age 52 of Brockton died Friday March 8, 2013 following a period of failing health. He was the loving son of Barbara A. (Dolan) Hamm of Brockton and the late Edgar W. Hamm, Sr. Danny was born in Weymouth, raised in Randolph and was a longtime resident of Brockton , graduating from Brockton High School in 1978.
Before illness forced his retirement, Danny worked as a selector at the Stop & Shop warehouse in Hyde Park and was a member of Teamsters Local 25. Danny loved to play pool and was a member of the Busch Pool League and won a national championship in New Orleans. He also enjoyed music and good food. Danny could make anyone laugh because he was an expert in everything.
Danny will be remembered as a caring man who was always willing to help anyone in need. He once grew his hair long and then had it cut and donated to Locks of Love. He especially enjoyed caring for his nieces and nephews.
Danny was the brother of Teresa M. Hamm of Dartmouth, John L. Hamm and his wife Dorothy of Brockton, Charlene A. Hall of Taunton, Edgar W. Hamm and his fiancée Tina Gurn of Brockton, Victoria F. Salamone and her husband Greg of S. Easton, Shannon R. Salamone of Fall River and the late Katherine P. Hamm. He leaves many nieces and nephews including his youngest nieces Elisa and Mia. He also leaves many cousins including Doug and Darren Lindquist of W. Bridgewater and his two devoted dogs Shorty and Brody.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Friday 4-8 pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 9 am. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
