Ruth O. (Rooney) Grupposo 85, of Wareham and formerly of Natick, died Friday March 8, 2013, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
She was the beloved wife of Anthony S. Grupposo with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
A Natick resident for 40 years she was born in Waltham the daughter of the late Leonard and Ruth (Fahy) Rooney.
Mrs. Grupposo was a Customer Service Representative for 36 years for New England Telephone Company retiring in 1986.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, knitting, and was an avid reader.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her four children Mark L. Grupposo of Natick, John A. Grupposo and his wife Diana of Tampa Fl, Ellen P. Knott and her husband Steven of Natick, Joanne Miga and her husband Christopher of Franklin, nine grandchildren Domenic, David, Hannah, Olivia, Stephanie, Andrea, Steven, Michael, and Sarah, one brother Kevin J. Rooney of Jamaica Plain and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday March 13, at 8:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Linus Church at 9:00 A.M.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
