Mrs. Louise E. (Dufour) Yelle, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 7 in the Providence House in Brighton, where she resided for the last several years with her recently deceased, beloved husband, Raymond P. Yelle. She was born 91 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Eugene and Alice (Guite) Dufour. She was educated in Taunton and had been a city resident for most of her life. Louise had formerly been employed as a Teacher’s Aide for the City of Taunton School Department for several years. She was a well known cook, and had prepared meals for Holy Rosary Parish and the former Immaculate Conception Parish, as well as for the Holy Union Sisters at Coyle and Cassidy High School. She was a member of the Oakland Senior Citizens Club, and was a volunteer for several local senior citizens groups. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. She was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 3 sons: Raymond P. Yelle, Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Alfred, N.Y., Robert A. Yelle and his wife, Judith of Hamilton, Ohio, and Stephen R. Yelle and his wife, Lorraine of Berkley, Ma.; 2 daughters: Alyce L. Flynn and her husband, Laurence of West Newton, and Roberta A. Qualey and her husband, Richard of Woburn; 1 sister: Eugenie Guglielmo and her husband, Thomas of Rehoboth; 1 brother-in-law: G. Roger Yelle and his wife, Maria of Taunton; 1 sister-in-law: Helen Stringer of Middletown, R.I.; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Chamberlain and her late husband, Matthew.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Thursday, March 14 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Church at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
