Dorothy R. Threatt, 82, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at her residence.
Graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Holt Baptist Church Cemetery in the Holt Community with the Rev. Sonny Pate officiating.
Mrs. Threatt was born September 10, 1930 in Ambrose, Georgia to the Joseph Rhymes and Trudie Mae Paul Rhymes. She spent most of her life in the Holt community where she was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for the family farm. Mrs. Threatt was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a son: Dwight Kilgore of Fitzgerald; a daughter: Wanda Paulk of Irwinville; one grandson: Andrew Hudson of Ocilla; one granddaughter: Amber Martin of Louisiana; four great-grandchildren; two step-sons: Wendell (Norma) Threatt and Stanley (Cathy) Threatt, all of Douglas; one step-daughter: Janice (James) Merritt of Douglas; 13 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren and one sister: Florence Fowler of Waycross. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Clarence Bud Kilgore; her second husband: Ralph Threatt; and a step-daughter: Glenda Grantham.
