Obituary

COCHITUATE: James H. “Jim” Lee, 55, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham after being stricken at his residence in Wayland on Friday, March 1, 2013.
Jim was born in Natick on April 25, 1957 the son of Edward D. Lee, Sr. and Dorothy (Wells) Lee both of Cochituate.
Besides his parents Edward and Dorothy, he is survived by his loving children Benjamin J. Lee and Jessica B. Lee both of Marlborough. He was the brother of Pamela A. Frey of Mound Ridge, Kansas; Edward D. “Ted” Lee, Jr. and his wife Charlie of Ashland and Ginger D. Livingstone and her husband Greg of Cochituate. He is also survived by his former wife Amy L. (Mattsen) Lee of Marlborough as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the brother-in-law of William O. Frey who died in June of 2012.
Jim has been a longtime resident of Cochituate and previously resided in Sudbury for 17 years. He graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 1975. He served his country with honor as a SP4 with the 4th Transportation Battalion in Wildflecken, Germany and with the Airborne Infantry Battalion of the United States Army. Jim retired in 2011 as a Foreman with the Town of Sudbury Highway Department after 26 years of dedicated service. He loved the outdoors and being an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and kayaking on Lake Cochituate and in Old Orchard Beach, Maine with his family. He was an avid swimmer, was an accomplished cook, especially of his famous lasagna and was a master of the outdoor grill. Jim also enjoyed the time he spent camping in Maine with his children and at Old Orchard Beach. He will be lovingly missed by all who knew him.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 10 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate.
His funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Community United Methodist Church, 5 Damon St (Corner of Damon St and Rte 27) Cochituate.
Interment will follow in the Wells – Lee family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that memorial gifts in Jim’s memory may be sent to the American Diabetes Assoc., 10 Speen St, 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701, the Community United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
