Obituary

Abington – Anna “Nancy” (Murphy) Kelly 82, died after a period of failing health, Wednesday March 6. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to Eugene F. Kelly.
Born in Boston and raised in the Charlestown section she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Coughlin) Murphy and a graduate of the Boston Trade School for Girls.
Nancy was a communicant of the St. Bridget Church in Abington and was active in the Sodality. She worked for FEMA in the disaster relief for 10 years, also for Jack Conway Real Estate for 9 years as an agent and she waitressed at the Officers Club at the Weymouth Air Base.
Nancy enjoyed being with her family, taking walks, doing crafts and was an avid reader.
In addition to her husband Eugene, she is survived by her children, Eugene Kelly, Jr. and his wife Debra of Abington, Kalina Vendetti and her husband Thomas of Kingston, Anmarie Graham and her husband John of Brockton, Lisa Matthews and her husband Robert of Abington and Nancy Kalombratsos and her husband Thomas of East Bridgewater, her brother Thomas Murphy and his wife Marie of FL., her sisters Rosemary Stockman and her husband Robert of Franklin, Carol Cardella of Beverly and Sheila Leahy of Abington; also 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Harry Murphy and Jane Easttey.
Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 12th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(Rte 58 at the Rotary) Whitman, MA., followed by a mass at 9:00 AM in the St. Bridget Church, Abington. Burial will be at a later date. Her visitation will be on Monday March 11th from 4:00-8:00 PM.
