Helen L. (Porter) Thornhill, 91, of Franklin died March 5 in the Kindred Transitional Care - Franklin following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Leonard L. Thornhill who died last July.
Born in Franklin, December 9, 1921, the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Lanagan) Porter, Mrs. Thornhill was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mrs. Thornhill had worked at Dean Junior College in the Housekeeping Department for several years.
She had enjoyed going to the Franklin Senior Center and line dancing.
She is survived by her children, James Thornhill of Woonsocket and Barbara Thornhill of Medway.
She was the mother of the late Robert and Beverly Thornhill.
Mrs. Thornhill was the sister of the late Joseph Porter. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be private.
Burial will be in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.
