Guarino, Edward Anthony age 86 of Emerson, NJ passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013. Beloved husband of June Kramer Guarino, devoted father of Aprile Guarino and Denice Cross, loving grandfather of Alisande Pipkin and Colum Cross, cherished brother of Gloria Drodvillo, Gilda Kremer, Rosemary Weyer, Joseph Guarino and the late Jeanie Solitis. Edward served in the US Navy during World War II, then ran the family owned Haworth market. After graduating from Rutgers, Edward devoted his life to teaching at Honiss School in Dumont, NJ while furthering his education at Montclair State. Edward loved his pets, traveling, old movies, Atlantic City, the NY Yankees, and the NY Jets. Funeral service Friday, 8:30AM from the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell, then to Assumption RC Church for a 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations in his name to a Veterans Organization of your choosing is appreciated by the family.
