Obituary

Mrs. Assunta (LoPriore) Rossetti, age 78, died Monday morning, March 4, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, after a very lengthy illness. Born in Italy, Assunta was the beloved daughter of the late Enrichetta (DiPietro) & Giovanni LoPriore.

Assunta arrived in the United States in 1961 and was married that same year. They settled in Medford and started their family. Assunta worked as a seamstress for Fidelity Clothing in Boston, soon after she worked in the family businesses, Fleet Fruit,on the retail side and as a chef at the family restaurant that was located in Taunton.

Assunta was a wonderful cook and loved to prepare Sunday meals for family and friends. She loved to spend time outdoors tending her garden, growing flowers, and going for walks all over the neighborhood. She was a very religious person, attended mass daily and was extremely generous with her donations. She spent her winters in Ft. Lauderdale and looked forward to when her family came to visit, especially her loving grandchildren. Assunta was the beloved wife of the late Giosue "Joe" Rossetti. Devoted mother of Nancy Reid and her husband Salvatore of Medford, Joseph Rossetti and his wife Stefanie of NH, Susanna Vigevani and her husband Alberto of Canton, and the late Lea R. Rossetti. Loving Nonni of Christina Reid, Michael Reid, Marissa and Joanna Vigevani. Loving Sister of Emilio LoPriore,
Delia Moscaritolo , Angiolina DiSisto all of Medford, Allesandra Ciampi of Italy, Giuseppe LoPriore of Venezuela , Anna D'Ambrosio of Argentina, and the late Gerrardo LoPriore, Antonietta DiSisto and Raffaele LoPriore. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday March 7th at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St.Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
