HUBER, VERNA DEANE (MILLER), 86, passed at her home surrounded by her family on March 3, 2013.
She was a retired employee of Jefferson County Public Schools where she worked at Foster Elementary School as a bookkeeper for over 20 years and a member of Shively Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Clyde L. Huber; a son, Tim W. Huber; daughter-in-law, Denise Huber; and her parents, Willie and Elizabeth Layman Miller.
Survivors include her children, Michael Huber (Jacqueline LaTraile) and Mary Kaye Huber; grandchildren, Amy Evans (Ron), Tim Huber (Michelle), Liz Paulsen (Dale), Bill McAdams, Jason McAdams, Andy Huber, and Matthew Huber; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, W. L. Miller (Jannine); sister, Jane Elder (Charlie); Lynne Mason whom she loved like a daughter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
