Garabedian, James S., of Cambridge, March 3, 2013. Beloved son of the late Garabed and Araxy Garabedian. Loving life companion of Karen Klein. Devoted father of James A. Garabedian. Brother of the late Rose Tashjian and Mary George. Loving uncle of Sandra Topalian and her husband Greg Zagloba, Charles Tashjian and his wife Virginia, Janet Murnick and her husband Daniel and Edward George and his wife Jean. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews and their children and many dear friends. A visitation period will be held at the Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, 558 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown on Friday from 6 – 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Saint James Armenian Church, 465 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown on Saturday, March 9 at 4:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Everyone is invited to a reception which will take place in the church hall immediately following the memorial service. At Jim’s request, please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Saint James Armenian Church or a charity of one’s choice. Jim was the former choir director of Saint Vartanantz Armenian Church, Chelmsford, MA., Saint James Armenian Church, Watertown, MA. and former conductor of the Gomidas Choral Society, Watertown, MA. In addition to his musical abilities, Jim will be remembered for his dedicated teaching in the public school system, his magnificent woodcrafting and his love of cooking and boating. Interment services are private.
