Jeanne A. (Kelley) O'Brien, 76, of Marion died Monday July 19, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert F. O'Brien, to whom she was married for 52 years.
Born in Boston, the daughter of the late Charles J. and Anna (Burns) Kelley, she had lived in Marion for the past 44 years.
She was a communicant of St. Rita's Church in Marion and St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett.
Mrs. O'Brien worked at Tabor Academy in Marion for over 19 years, finishing her career as Administrative Assistant to the Headmaster.
Survivors include 3 sons, Robert "O'Bie" O'Brien of Fairhaven, Michael P. O'Brien, and his wife Lois, of Mattapoisett, and John C. ""Jack" O'Brien, and his wife Rhonda "Kitt", of Annapolis, Maryland; 7 grandchildren, Kevin, Stephen, Patrick, Charlie, Ryan, Carly and Gracie; and a sister, Nan Kelly of South Weymouth.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 24, 2004 at 10 AM in St. Rita's Church, Marion. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marion. Visiting hours are omitted. Memorial donations may be sent to the Bishop Stang Spartan Athletic Fund, 500 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02747.
