Rose C. (Giardina) Mandile, a longtime Medford resident, died Tuesday, at home in the company of a loving family. She was 91.
Mrs. Mandile was born in Newton and raised in Waltham, the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Josephine (Bonica) Giardina. Dedicated to her family, Rose enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose was also an active member of St. Francis Parish.
She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Mandile. Rose was a devoted mother of Marian Cafazzo and her husband John of Reading, Lt. John Mandile, MPD (ret.) and his wife Ann of Medford, Josephine Prendergast and her husband James of Burlington. She was a loving grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 25. She was a dear sister to Helen Hubler, Steven Giardina both of Waltham, Anthony Giardina of Townsend and is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and relatives may visit Friday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Medford, with the Rev´d Joseph Foster celebrant, Satuday at 10AM. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
