James C. Ayers
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, March 2, 2013, Mr. James C. Ayers, 82, beloved husband of 60 years to Mrs. Lucy Wilbanks Ayers.
Mr. Ayers was a member of West Acres Baptist Church where he loved attending his Sunday School Class. He was a retired Reactor Supervisor at Savannah River Plant. Mr. Ayers had a great wit, loved to travel and loved his family and friends.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughter: Carol Ayers of Evans; son: Jim C. Ayers, Jr. (Lesley) of Grovetown; grandchildren: Sarah Untied (Chris), Emily Ayers and Stephanie Ayers; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister: Marcia Bray.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Larry C. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Love Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the LOFJ program, West Acres Baptist Church, 555 Gibbs Rd Evans, GA 30809.
