Wilma Nell (Stoner) Werking, 90, of Chesterfield, passed away at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital in Anderson after a brief illness.
Wilma was born November 12, 1922 in Jay County to Cecil Elmer and Beatrice Elva (Franklin) Stoner.
She was a second grade school teacher at Chesterfield Elementary School for 32 years.
She was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church. She enjoyed painting China, she was a doll maker. She was an accomplished musician who played and taught piano and organ.
Survivors include her 3 children, Lana Dalee (Clifford) Hendricks; Max Lee Werking and Rex Dean Werking; 3 grandchildren, Edward Lee Hendricks; Jay Alan Hendricks and Clair Nicole (Werking) (Dave) Lamm; 4 great grandchildren: Blake Lamm; Danica Lamm; Julia Hendricks and Jenna Hendricks; 1 sister Lorene Block and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Lewis Werking; and 2 sisters Jean Ann Sheward and Norma Lou Ruddick.
Private services will take place. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
