Anne T. Foster, 91, of Lawrence died on Monday, February 25 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Lawrence on January 19, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Annie (Lyons) Hennelly.
Anne was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and St. John Hospital School of Nursing in Lowell. She had worked as a Registered Nurse in various aspects of the Health Care Industry. She gained personal and professional satisfaction with her time as a School Nurse at Essex Agricultural & Technical Institute prior to her retirement.
Anne was a life-long member of St. Patrick Parish in Lawrence and the Ladies Sodality. She participated at the North Andover Senior Center as an avid card player. Anne loved spending time with her family, while her most loved hobby was the research of family information through genealogy. She especially loved the travel to the many cities and countries where she could research family history, connect with relatives or enjoy learning about new places.
Anne was the wife of the late Robert P. Foster. She was the mother of Dennis B. Foster, Joseph E. Foster and his wife Susan Lillydale, David F. Foster and his wife Barbara, Sr. Mary Anne Foster SC, Kathleen P. Guilmette and the late Robert P. Foster, Jr. She was the sister of Dr. Patrick J. Hennelly, Jr. and his wife Ann of VA and the late James, Mary, Kathleen, and Sr. Eileen Hennelly SC. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Monday at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 114 South Broadway, Lawrence at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.
