Joseph John Weaver, 91, of Bowen’s Mill Community, died, Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Bowen’s Mill Community.
Mr. Weaver was born November 18, 1921, in Amsterdam, New York, to the late Andrew and Mary Tkacz Weaver. He retired after 30 years as a machinist with General Electric. He was the founder of Weaver Lumber Sales. He spent time between Bowen’s Mill Community and New York for the past 30 years. Mr. Weaver enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. Being a veteran, he was active in several veteran organizations in New York.
Survivors include: wife, Genevieve M. Weaver of Bowen’s Mill; son, Paul Weaver of Bowen’s Mill; granddaughter, Rebecca Weaver of Brussels, Belgium; two great-grandsons; and a brother, Alfred Weaver of Long Island, New York. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
