Obituary

Ernest R. J. Ayotte, 91, died Sunday, February 24, 2013, at his home. He was the husband of Doris (Giammatteo) Ayotte. They had been married for 70 years.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Arthur A. and Regina (Cabana) Ayotte. He had lived in New Jersey before moving to Cranston. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving as a T-5 in the 74th General Hospital from 1942-1946. He was a member of the CCC, 1939, served on the Vestry of St. Andrew’s Church in New Jersey and was a member of Church of the Ascension in Cranston.

Mr. Ayotte retired from Newark Beth Israel Medical Center as an Animal Research Technician after 23 years. ,
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter-in-law, Debbie Ayotte, of Oldsmar, FL, his foster son, Russel Case, of Largo, FL, his grandsons Derek, Ryan, Greg and great grandsons Luca and Tyson and many neices and nephews. He was the father of the late Raymond J. Ayotte and brother of the late Irene Gilkenson, Eva Baltteim and Henry Ayotte.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday at 1pm in Church of the Ascension 390 Pontiac Ave, Cranston. Burial private.
