NEW BEDFORD — June M. Hastings, 87, of New Bedford died February 26, 2013. She was the wife of Nathaniel F. Hastings Jr. of New Bedford for 65 years.
Born in Chelsea, MA she resided in New Bedford for 67 years. June worked many years in the insurance business, Crowley Weaver and Ashley Insurance.
She enjoyed singing and was a member of the Gaudreau Choir and sang in many of the area Churches.
She is survived by her husband Nathaniel; son James F. Hastings and his wife Rachelle of Raynham; her grandchildren, Valerie Keefe and her husband Shawn of Plainville, Vickie Cady and her husband Thomas of Raynham, Jason Hastings of Raynham, and Joshua Hastings of Raynham; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford. Her service will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by burial in River-side Cemetery in Fairhaven.
