SPENCER: Marie A. (Baron) Terry, 86, of Spencer passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 26 in UMass Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She spent her last day comfortable and alert, surrounded by loving family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters Carolyn Milstead and her husband Joel of Princeton, Marsha Goff and her husband Albert of Brookfield, Linda King of Rochdale and her life partner Bruce Bellows, Joyce Bosse and her husband Thomas of Spencer and Sandra Valiquette of Brookfield, a sister Arlene Andresen of Brockton, 6 grandchildren, a great-Grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a daughter Janice Terry and 5 siblings.
Marie was one of Jehovah's Witnesses of the Leicester Congregation and previously belonged to the Oxford Congregation. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Louis and Carmelia (Bercume) Baron. She enjoyed painting, line dancing with her friend Rita, reading the bible, playing the organ, crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 458 Main Street, Cherry Valley. A reception will follow at 2:00 PM at the Spencer Fish & Game Club, 155 Mechanic Street, Spencer. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Leicester Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, P.O. Box 482, Leicester, MA 01524 or to Tri-Valley Inc., 10 Mill Street, Dudley, MA 01571. J.
