Lovie Ann Riggins, age 73, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Riggins was born on January 8, 1940, in Douglas, GA to the late Hillie and Jeanette Walker Thomas.
Survivors include: her husband: Billy Riggins, of Douglas, two daughters, Sandra (Danny) Chaney and Margaret Merritt, both of Douglas, brother, Wesley Thomas, of West Palm Beach, FL, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Riggins Anderson, two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Broxton Church of God with Rev. Milton Pate and Rev. Ronnie Chaney officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.
