Lois N. (Baker) Zak, 78, of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26th. Her daughter and grandson were at her side at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, Mass.
She was born in Manchester, NH on October 26, 1934 to John E. Baker and Vera Tierney. Lois was a School Bus Driver for the Town of Salem for 35 years. She loved her job driving the children to and from school. She also loved animals. Often you would see her outside feeding the birds. She also left dog cookies in the mail box for the neighborhood dogs as they and their owners walked by. Lois was known by many as "Nana".
Lois is survived by four children, John Zak of Haverhill, MA, Lori Bolduc and John Neill of Salem, NH, Robert Zak and his wife Donna of Manchester, NH, and David Zak of Salem, NH; her sister, Janice Baker Lenz of Seneca Falls NY; two grandchildren Michael Bolduc and his wife Nicole of Salem, NH and Dominique Zak of Florida. She also leaves behind two great grandchildren Averie and Zachary Bolduc of Salem, NH as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her brothers Leslie (Skip) and Gordon (Goggie) Baker.
