Obituary

Michele E. (McLaughlin) Rondeau, age 64, of Hanson, formerly of Brockton, died February 25, 2013, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a lengthy battle with breast cancer She was the devoted wife for 44 years of Joseph E. Rondeau. Born in Waltham and raised on US Army bases throughout the world, she was the daughter of Mary (McLaughlin) Moreau of Brockton and the late Emmett McLaughlin. A 1966 graduate of Brockton High School, Michele graduated in 1969 from the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. Her whole nursing career was spent at Brockton Hospital working in the Maternity and Medical Surgical units. She was a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association and the 1st Congregational Church in Hanson and enjoyed time with her friends in their Bible Study Group. Michele was devoted to her home and family and will be remembered as a loving and caring person who even in times of her own health struggles worried about others.

In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by a son Matthew J. Rondeau of Whitman, daughter Rebecca M. Rondeau of Halifax; two brothers Richard McLaughlin of Florida and Michael McLaughlin of Brockton and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the 1st Congregational Church, 639 High Street, Hanson, MA, Saturday at 10am. Burial will follow in Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson.
