Obituary

Oscar A. Hoehn, 83, of Methuen, died peacefully Sunday at the home of his son in Sandown, New Hampshire.

Oscar, son of the late Oscar R. and Olga (Greenwood) Hoehn, was born in Methuen July 16, 1929. His beloved wife, Elizabeth A. (O’Neill) Hoehn, died last August.

Oscar was a local contractor for many years prior to his retirement. He had an eye for architecture and design and will be remembered for all the inventions he created. He was a quiet deep thinker, loving life and living it to the fullest. He was a creative story teller, kept a coy fish pool at his home and enjoyed soccer, football, car racing and camping.

He will be deeply missed by his children; Oscar A. Hoehn, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Sandown , New Hampshire, Anne Marie Hoehn and her husband Keith Peterson of Brush Prairie, Washington, Patricia Hoehn and her husband Arthur Burns of Marblehead and Marybeth Hoehn of Newburyport; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, nephews and nieces.

There are no visiting hours. A celebration of Oscar’s life will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. , Methuen.
