Calvin Alford, Jr., age 37, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN. He was born September 26, 1975 in St. Louis, MO to Calvin Alford, Sr. and the late Linda Young. Calvin was employed as a truck driver for Townes Trucking Company. He had a wicked sense of humor and enjoyed shooting pool and spending time with friends. Calvin was soft spoken, loved his wife, children and family and was a good husband, father and provider. He attended several churches in Yalobusha County.
Visitation is planned for Friday, March 1, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the City Auditorium in Water Valley, MS. Burial will be in the Rocky Mt. Church Cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Stephanie Alford of Water Valley, MS; two daughters, Niketa Wilson and Ca’Najah Alford both of Water Valley; one son, Calvin Alford III of Water Valley; one sister, April Gould (Jerome) of St. Louis, MO; his father, Calvin Alford, Sr. (Rochelle) of St. Louis, MO; his step-father, CalvinYoung (Barbara) of Oxford, MS.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jasmine Alford.
