Antonio B. Torres, age 76 of Westport, passed away on February 22, 2013. Born in São Vicente Ferreira, São Miguel, Açores, he was the husband of Margarida (Albernaz) Torres and the son of the late Manuel B. and Guilhermina (do Rosario) Torres. Prior to retiring, Antonio worked at Joan Fabrics for 14 years as a Machine Oiler, and he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church.
In addition to his wife of Westport, he is survived by his daughter, Laura Maria Alexandre, husband Manuel of Westport; his brother: Manuel Torres of Westport; grandchildren: Justin & Jenny Alexandre; several nieces & nephews. He was he brother of the late Filomena Raposo, Idalina Sousa, & Joao Torres.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on SATURDAY at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd., Westport at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
