ALENE (GILPIN) LOYD, 90, passed away on February 23, 2013.
She was the former Director of Child Evangelism, was a lifelong teacher of the Bible to children, and a member of Valley View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Loyd; granddaughter, Cheri and great grandson, Taylor.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Carman (Jim) and Sharon Jennette (Terry); five grandchildren, State Senator Julie Denton (Barry), Jeff Carman (Donna), Todd Jennette (Geralyn), Kimberly Meeks (Chris) and Tiffany Love (Darryl); and sixteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Monday.
