Robert J. Gumbleton, of Medford, died Wednesday at home. He was 76.
Raised in Medford he was the son of the late Maurice and the late Tina (DeFeo) Gumbleton. Robert graduated from Tufts University earning both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. He taught English at Melrose High School for many years before retiring in 1999. A devoted husband and father, Bob loved music and the company of his family and friends.
The beloved husband and best friend of Lucille (Giannelli), he was a devoted father of Paul J. Gumbleton of Provincetown, Robert M. Gumbleton of Medford and the late Scott Gumbleton. He was a dear brother-in-law of Carol Giannelli of Medford and also leaves many cousins and friends.
Family and friends may visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday February 25th from 4 thru 8 PM and again on Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
