Clare E. (Farrell) Giannetti, 96, of Natick, passed away on February 21, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Giannetti who passed away in 1982 and with whom she shared 32 years of marriage.
Born in Cambridge, the daughter of the late John and Bridget (Finnegan) Farrell, Mrs. Giannetti was raised in Watertown where she attended St. Patrick’s Elementary and High School. After marrying and settling in Natick she was employed as an office clerk at the Avery Dennison Company in Framingham until her retirement in the early 1980’s. Mrs. Giannetti was a communicant and member of the Sodality at St. Patrick’s Church in Natick, an active member of the Kennedy Senior Center in Natick, and the Goldenaires of Natick. Mrs. Giannetti was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and happiest when spending time with her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her 5 devoted children, Joseph of Newburyport, Nancy Hurwitz and her husband Chuck of Waltham, Rita Casey of Wayland, Mary Ann Lavezzo and her husband Jimmy of Natick, and Robert of Ashland; 9 cherished grandchildren, Patrick, David, Bryan, Cheryl, Robert, Joseph, Jessica, Gina, and Lisa; and 3 adored great-grandchildren, Michelle, Anna, and Emily. She was also pre-deceased by her grandson Michael Casey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Giannetti’s funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 9:00 AM to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
