New Bedford – Carolyn M. Lancaster, 74, of New Bedford passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on February 20, 2013. She was the life partner of John E. McNerney of New Bedford.
Ms. Lancaster was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Thomas and Hilda (Roderick) Lancaster, and resided in the greater New Bedford area all of her life. She was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Aide and Certified Inhalation Therapist at various local medical facilities until her retirement. She loved bingo, cooking, reading, cross-stitching and most of all spending time with her family and godchildren.
In addition to her life partner, she is survived by a sister: Shirley M. Goulart of Fairhaven; a brother: Joseph Hassey of Dartmouth; her godchildren: Cheryl Goulart of NH, Seth Goulart of Fairhaven, Brendon McNerney of Fall River and Melanie McNerney of Fall River; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
