WALTER MATTHEW ANTOINE, JR. "JUNIE", of Hingham, passed away on February 20th, 2013 at the age of 92. Wally was the beloved husband for 71 years of Edna L. (Gately) Antoine and father of; Marilyn Dunn, Philip Antoine, Carolyn Johnson, Donald Antoine, Steven Antoine, Walter Antoine, 3rd, Roslyn Rock, Paul Antoine, Jacquelyn Browne, Maryellyn Antoine and David Antoine. Brother of William Antoine of Hingham, Robert Antoine of Florida and the late George, Francis and John "Jack" Antoine. He was a grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and uncle to many.
Wally was born in Hingham on January 27th, 1921 to Walter Matthew Antoine, Sr. and Mary C. (Carr). Wally was a World War II Navy Veteran serving on SC657. He had a wonderful life.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 28th at 10 AM at St. Paul's Church, 147 North St., Hingham Square.
A celebration of Wally’s life will be held on Friday, March 1st from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Derby Clubhouse at Linden Ponds in Hingham.
